With this series is that the action part has pretty much no backing plot. While I really enjoy action yaoi, my big beef Is action but is more like Asami saving Takaba 90% of the time from situations he gets himself into.
Art (apart from the occasional yaoi hands) (7) I've read 6 volumes of the series so far, so I feel comfortable giving my opinion on it. After reading something about how it was one of the "best BL titles" out there, I decided to pick it up again and give it a read. I started this series a few years ago, but never got past the first volume. It's a hell lot more than that, guaranteed! You are My Love Prize in Viewfinder is definitely a must-read for all the yaoi and BL fans out there. It comes in when things go low tide, and goes out when other elements like action set in. Hell yeah, blood covered bishies! And of course the plot isn't ruined by a ridiculous amount of sex. The chaotic society they live in sparks how bad ass they could all be. The thought of gay underworld lords is kinda laughable, but it's what makes this manga unique. Sure, sex is all for lust, but unlike your typical romance stories where it comes last, it's what triggers the development of a relationship (yep, raep). 'Hot' looks hot, 'cool' looks cool, and 'spunky' looks spunky. The drawings are detailed and the characters' body structures look realistic. The art isn't too sketchy like those shoujo mangas. How much of a perv you are doesn't matter (ha!) for the actions are easy to comprehend. The feud between him and another underworld big-shot, Liu Fei Long, who also takes interest in the uke for the sole reason of revenge, is what spices up the story.Īlong with the outstanding plot, sex scenes are delivered really well. Other characters come in, specifically one who was involved with the seme Asami in the past. Foul language, athletic moves, you name it. XD Good thing is, after all he'd have to go through, the uke isn't all so girly and all so submissive, unlike many other ukes. The latter isn't gay (yet) and haven't even thought about getting raped by a man, more so be harassed by a masochist. Sex comes in when this businessman, Ryuichi Asami, uses 'pain and pleasure' to get this photographer, Akihito Takaba, to just surrender. Underworld society while seeking to expose an influential businessman. sounds good, no? The story revolves around an amateur photographer who got caught up in the chaotic Character intro is done well, and one can feel what it's like to be chased by armed mafioso. The first chapter of the manga would immediately capture the interest of a (tolerant) reader.
The Finder Series, or You are My Love Prize in Viewfinder as it is commonly called, is the exact opposite of what many think (or maybe 'know') what yaoi is. Yaoi - most of them, as fact states, have shitty plot. Instead, Feilong puts everything on the line in an attempt to use Akihito to draw out the wrath of the man he hates most. However, when Akihito's job puts him into the sights of an old acquaintance of Asami's-the leader of the Chinese drug syndicate Baishe, Liu Feilong-there seems to be more at stake than a couple of incriminating photographs. It is never quite obvious who is the predator, and who is prey. But Asami has severely underestimated the boy's determination to overthrow him, and suddenly, the two of them find themselves playing an obsessive game of cat and mouse. Asami is not about to let his image get tarnished by a stubborn 23-year-old and will ensure that Akihito is taught a lesson. When Akihito sets his viewfinder on Asami's illicit dealings, he has dropped himself into a field he cannot escape from. In reality, Asami is a powerful figure in Japan's underworld, playing his hand in everything from drug smuggling to government scandals. On the other hand, Ryuuichi Asami is an elite businessman, known for his chain of high-class nightclubs and entertainment facilities.
